Thanks for your nice review of my song: HE AIN'T LOVING ME. I corrected the pops and clicks. I appreciate your nice comments. Good luck with your music.
Hi there Big Boot, love your bio - one of the most honest and interesting ones I have seen on BJ. Thanks for reviewing Fruit of the Spirit Instrumental. Makes more sense w/ the kids vocals if you wanna take a listen....Mrs. Kate http://www.broadjam.com/player/player.php?play_file=24409_468603 1
Thanks so much for your nice review of my song: HE AIN'T LOVING ME. On 4 of my demos after I ripped them twice, I got the clicks and cracks. I'm using windows media player. Don't know how to remove them and I won't be able to license them this way. The cds are fine. Do you know anything about solving this? Sylvia
Hi Sylvia, I'm not a great tech head, but i'd use something like Wavelab or Cool edit pro for ripping, hope this helps.
Thanks for the infor. I appreciate it.
Hi Steve, Many thanks of your review of our song 'Freedom'. As a demo song it's good to hear constructive feedback before we make it final. Good luck in the future. Archie
Thanks for you kind review of "Brilliant Beginner!" Best to you and I will take a listen to some of your tunes.
Hey, thanks for the comments regarding my song "Guilty Pleasure". You've got some good songs. Like your style. I especially sympathize with "Bullshit". We're two peas in a pod separated by an ocean and an accent. Anthony (The Spermatochords)
It's pretty lonely here in this pod though. Everyone is out there with Adele and Jessie J and Katy Perry going on about "feelings deep down inside. feelings too strong to hide" etc...
You can't be anyone other than who you are. Go with that and you'll never regret it, regardless of where it takes you.
Thank you for taking time to review my "FP009" track. This is only a demo track produced exactly as requested. Please listen to some of my other tracks when you get an opportunity. I'm looking to turn a hobby into a profession, and tips like yours are very useful.
Will do. It's difficult with anonymous listening. We've just posted some demos for objective feedback so am fully expecting people to review in the way that they think it's the finished article. Would be nice to hear the finished song to see how it turns out.
Interesting review of "It's You." I enjoyed Shine On and Monkey Stomp--though it, too, might be considered perilously close to novelty :-) Good luck.
Ah...this is the beauty of anonymous reviewing. No preconceptions. The perfect sounding board. I wouldn't ever have thought that Monkey Stomp would be considered 'novelty' because of it's subject matter but I can certainly appreciate that it does have a certain quirkiness to it that is nearer to the edges of the bell curve than conventional songs...
Thank you for reviewing my song. I appreciated your comments. Please come back and listen to more of my material when you can.
Thanks for the review of the song "Mila" Sylvia, very kind of you.
My pleasure. Good luck with all of your music.
Thanks again Wednesday, another very positive review, you're making an habit of this stay cool.
Hi Wednesday, Many thanks for your review of Monkey Stomp. We've had a couple of comments about not being able to hear lyrics so will take it on board. Should you wish to fill in the lyric gaps go to http://bigbootdance.bandcamp.com/ 1 and click on Monkey Stomp. Many thanks once again Big Boot Dance
Much better!!! Love the bits about 'Charlie Darwin" and Charelton Heston's Planet of the Apes. You can post your lyrics on Broadjam for the song, might be a good idea to do so. From a simeon friend :D
Thanks for taking the time to review "Just for the moment" and thanks for the kind remarks.
Thanks for the review Pewana, it's appreciated.
No problem Hope there is somethinguseful in there for you.
Hey, Thank you for your kind and encouraging comments on my tune, 'You Better Do Something'. It is appreciated. Thanks again. Alex Legg
Thanks for the review of Vivian, very kind, like Tanya said, keep on trucking, in the 70's and 80's, they were great decades for music.
Thanks for the nice review of my song "First Wave". Also thanks for your comments - they're always helpul for future projects
Thanks for the review Paul very kind of you, stay cool.
Thanks for the review Andy, appreciated man.
))))
Thanks for the review Chedda, nice one man!
Great sounds Jeff! really enjoyed listening to those songs and there's so many influences running through your sound, that listening to the album is like eating a box of chocolates without the Selection guide! you just don't know what surprise is next on the menu? cool stuff man, keep up the great work and peace from the boots. PS. - That bass playing is really nice.
Thanks so much...It's nice to know that there are still people out there that care and take the time to listen....
Congrats Geoff on being selected for best solo song. It really is a nice effort. Calvin McFarland
Thanks Calvin...It means a lot.....
Yeah, chocoholics. Folks after my own heart....lol. Thanks for the nice review of The TWINS version of Eric Holland's tune Otra Cerveza. We definitely were going for a live feel with everyone sitting around the studio in a circle and just playing the song. In both Spanish and English (phonetically), this is a contageous little ditty.
No problems amigo! I enjoyed the song and reviewed it accordingly, very uplifting.
I take exception to the review posted today! You missed the mark on most accounts.... You praise the young man's(5 years old at time of recording) vocal yet award him only 1 point for it....you allude to midi instruments yet all of the musicians are LA's finest, led by the brilliant 1st Trumpet of Gary Grant! I've heard of 'splitting hairs', but you assasinated them! Please take some time off reviewing!
I'm sorry you see the review this way, I gave the vocal 1 point for pitch, not for performance, please remember! I have no idea who sang the vocal, or how old they may be? and as for the midi comment, I thought the backing lacked a little groove, again I'm sorry if that offends, but I'm only being honest in my opinion.
Okay...first off, here's the written portion of your 'review': ive Comments There's something cute about this, the vocal sound like a quirky.small child singing and that may well be the case, if not then maybe it could be a strong selling point, because it is Constructive Comments Instrumentation sounds very Midi and quantised, a looser feel might suit this song better? Just as I suspected....here's your review and you completely contradict yourself...in the review you correctly state that it sounds like a small child....now you say you have 'no idea' who sang the vocal...you go on to say that it is quirky and could be a strong selling point......now you say you gave it one point for good pitch or bad pitch (which you never addressed in your review) I can tell you that after we were all done with his vocal we checked it for intonation and it was perfect......also on that note we didn't quantize anything! You contradicted yourself throughout this review, and now you try and lie your way out of it.....pretty pathetic! And by the way, you're in-capable of offending me even if you offered me a million bucks to act offended! Please don't review anymore!
You certainly don't sound like a man that's been offended I must say! How in Gods name could I know who sang the song, I didn't even know who I was reviewing. I said "it sounds like a small child, an this may well be the case", followed by "I think it's quirky and might be a strong selling point" You seemed to have missed the fact that I found the vocal pleasing even though I gave it a 1 for pitch. I suggest that you stop entering songs for review, If you can't take a little criticism then don't put songs up for critique! PS. Calling someone that took the time to review a song, a liar isn't really the type of behaviour expected in this type of forum please refrain from these childish rants, other wise I may have to report you.
Well, okay...if you didn't lie, then you're very absent-minded or something.....A 1 for pitch? The pitch would have to be a half step off for me to issue an insulting score like that! Your in-consistency is right here in black and white for anyone to see...if you didn't lie then that's good......but you need to re-group and find the right set of reviewing standards, as the ones you currently use are below sub-standard........and don't threaten me.....if you feel you need to report me, go ahead..do it!
By the way, I can take criticism if it is intelligent..... But I refuse to condone ignorance!
Like I said in my first reply, I'm sorry if I offended you, It was never my intention. I even took the time to listen to the track again, along with another (Feeling Old) I enjoyed both. but I'd still review (Natalie) in the same manner. We had a review not long ago and the reviewer gave ones for every category, bar lyrical content, he gave a two! then for good measure, a few throw away remarks in the pros and cons boxes, bad review sure!! but that's life and that's his opinion, we move on, Lets do the same eh! Take care and good luck.
Ok man.....the hatchet's buried! I appreciate you trying to patch things up! The guy who gave you a bad review....I don't believe 'poor excuse for musicians' get to use 'the opinion card'.......... they just don't have a clue and unfortunately for me and you, we run in to them on the review format....oh well! Thanks again!
Thanks for the nice review of "Make Believe", I really appreciate your feedback. Dave - CenterPeace
RE: instrumental It does have lyrics, thats just the beds. Look on my profile, you'll see the song with lyrics and melody, same name I'm Gonna Die. Thanks for the review. Cheers
Ah. I see. Yes more my sort of thing. Much prefer Julia Butterfly Hill though. Top song. I might even buy it!!! Good luck with it all not that it looks like you need it. The cream will always rise...
I just listened to "Julia Butterfly Hill" on Casey's site and yes I agree, what a great song about a great person over a great cause. Thanks for shedding the light on this song and artist. :-)))
:)
Casey, my song "Make Believe" is about the environment and speaks to what I imagine Mother Earth might say if she could talk. Well we all know that she can and does speak with actions.... I think you might like what my song is about. Take good care, Dave - CenterPeace
